Dressed for the occasion

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our NHS and care workers is in hot demand; however there is deep concern over the lack of suitable PPE being distributed to these workers.  Doctors, nurses and care workers are voicing their deep concern about fighting the Covid-19 pandemic whilst keeping themselves safe in the process and rightly so.  These people are deeply aware that their lives are in great danger being exposed to the evil of this virus without appropriate clothing and equipment and they may as well be wearing PJ's and fluffy slippers for all their current uniform is worth! Wish that all Christians were just as aware of the dangers that they face through not being suitably dressed albeit it for a very different kind of battle, i.e. with the evil one— the devil!  Christians have absolutely no excuse however; our full and necessary PPE has already been provided, we just need to put it on! Don't forget to laugh

"We are at war!  It's official.  We are at war with Covid-19."   News reports remind us of this fact daily.... hourly.... constantly,  and whilst we cannot stick our heads in the sand regarding this most difficult time in history,  we need to maintain a healthy balance r e: what we watch and listen to in order to take care of our mental and physical well-being.  A good way to balance all the sad news we are hearing is to include some light-hearted fun / humour into our day where appropriate.  It 's  a well known fact that laughter is good for our health, e.g. Laughter relaxes the whole body.  A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after. Laughter boosts the immune system.  Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
